This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
How it works
- Set the work and rest times in seconds, the rounds per set, and how many sets with what break between them.
- Press Start (or Space): a short countdown, then the screen turns red for work and green for rest, with three beeps before each change.
- Press Full screen to see it across the room; Skip jumps to the next phase, Pause stops the clock.
Frequently asked questions
- What settings for HIIT?
- Common set-ups: 40 s work / 20 s rest × 8 (the default), 30/30 for beginners, 45/15 for harder sessions. Tabata is 20/10 × 8 — it has its own page.
- Does it keep time if I switch apps?
- Yes: the time is counted from the clock, not the screen, and the beeps are scheduled in advance. On phones the screen stays on while it runs, where the browser allows it.
- Why is there no rest after the last round?
- Once the last round of a set is done there is nothing to rest for — the set break or the end follows straight away.
- Can I use it for circuits or stretching?
- Yes — any exercise with fixed work and rest times: circuits, planks, skipping, stretching holds, even study sprints.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. The timer runs in your browser.
