Aim trainer
Click, flick and track — warm up your aim in 30 seconds.

Example
Example: two 30-second grid runs, and why the careful one scores higher
A player warms up before a match with Grid, 30 s, Medium targets, on a laptop. Three targets are up at a time; each one hit is replaced by a new one. On the first run they click as fast as they can; on the second they slow down a little and aim.
- Run 1: 62 hits and 18 missed clicks, so accuracy is 62 ÷ 80 = 77.5 %. Score = hits × accuracy = 62 × 77.5 = 4,805.
- Run 2: 55 hits and only 3 misses, so accuracy is 94.8 %. Score = 55 × 94.8 = 5,216: seven fewer hits, but a higher score.
- Average time per target is the time between one hit and the next: 484 ms on run 1 and 545 ms on run 2.
| Run | Hits | Misses | Accuracy | Average time per target | Targets per second | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grid 1, fast | 62 | 18 | 77.5 % | 484 ms | 2.07 | 4,805 |
| Grid 2, careful | 55 | 3 | 94.8 % | 545 ms | 1.83 | 5,216 |
| Flick, 30 s | 41 | 6 | 87.2 % | 612 ms | 1.37 | 3,577 |
| Tracking, 30 s | – | – | 72.2 % | – | – | 650 |
Run 2 sets the personal best for Grid, 30 s, Medium. In tracking, 19.5 s on the target out of 30 s is 65 % time on target, a score of 650; accuracy there is the share of the 27 s the button was held. Accuracy first, then speed, pays off.
How it works
- Choose a mode — grid, flick or tracking — the length and the target size.
- Press Start (or Space): after a 3-2-1 countdown, hit as many targets as you can; Escape stops.
- Read your score, accuracy and average time per target, and beat your personal best.
Frequently asked questions
- What do the three modes train?
- Grid trains speed and precision between nearby targets; flick trains fast, accurate jumps to a target that pops up anywhere; tracking trains keeping your crosshair on something that moves — three skills shooting games depend on.
- How is the score worked out?
- In grid and flick, hits × accuracy: 30 hits at 100 % is 3,000, and missed clicks pull it down. In tracking, the share of time you stay on the target, up to 1,000.
- How can I improve?
- Warm up for a few minutes before you play, keep the same mouse sensitivity, and aim for accuracy first — speed follows. Compare your personal bests over days, not single runs.
- Does it work on a phone or tablet?
- Yes — tap the targets, and keep your finger on the moving one in tracking mode. A mouse gives the most useful practice for computer games.
- Why are the targets bigger in full screen?
- They are sized by the play area’s shorter side. Medium targets are about 46 px across in the 512 px-tall area on a laptop, and 76 px (their largest) on a 1080 px-high full screen, where they are also further apart. Compare scores made on the same screen.
- Is there one personal best for everything?
- No: one for each mode, length and target size, so 18 in all. A 60-second flick run on small targets is only compared with others like it. They are kept in this browser only.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. It runs in your browser, and your best scores stay on this device.
