Jitter clicking

Tense the forearm slightly so the hand vibrates and the finger taps the button in a fast tremor. Keep the mouse still with the other fingers. Your clicks are counted the same way as any others.

Take breaks between runs and stop if your wrist, hand or forearm hurts. Short runs are enough to practise.

Nothing leaves your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.

How it works

  1. Hold the mouse with your thumb and ring finger and rest your index finger on the left button.
  2. Tense your forearm slightly so the hand vibrates, then click the area: the 10-second timer starts with your first click.
  3. Read your clicks per second, then the chart of the time between clicks: an even jitter shows as bars of the same height.

Frequently asked questions

What is jitter clicking?
A technique where you tense the muscles of your arm so the hand shakes quickly and the finger presses the button in a fast tremor. Many people reach 10 to 14 clicks per second with it.
Does the test detect that I am jitter clicking?
No. Every click is counted the same way; this page only shows jitter tips and keeps a separate best score for jitter runs.
What is a good jitter CPS?
Around 10 to 12 clicks per second is common with practice, and 14 or more is very fast. Steadiness (0 to 100) tells you how even your rhythm was.
Is jitter clicking hard on my hand?
Tensing the arm for long stretches is tiring. Keep runs short, take breaks and stop if your wrist, hand or forearm hurts.
Is anything recorded?
No. It runs in your browser with nothing to install; your best score stays in this browser and nothing is uploaded.
