Hebrew keyboard online
Type Hebrew on any computer, right to left.
Characters: 0
Your own keyboard types here too, by key position: each key types the character shown on it below (the small Latin letter is your key), Shift for the second one. If your computer is already set to this script, its keys are left as they are.
Nothing leaves your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
Example
Example: typing שלום and תודה רבה on an English keyboard
Each key of your own keyboard types the Hebrew letter that sits on it in the Israeli layout, so no Hebrew keyboard is needed. The box writes right to left: each new letter appears on the left.
- The ם at the end of שלום is the final mem, on its own key, O.
- ת is on the comma key; the comma itself is on the apostrophe key and the full stop on the slash key, as on an Israeli keyboard.
- Press Copy and paste the text where you need it.
| Hebrew | Meaning | Keys to press |
|---|---|---|
| שלום | shalom, hello | A K U O |
| תודה רבה | toda raba, thank you | , U S V Space R C V |
| חג שמח | chag sameach, happy holiday | J D Space A N J |
| ישראל | Israel | H A R T K |
| מזל טוב | mazal tov, congratulations | N Z K Space Y U C |
שלום is four keys, A K U O. Clicking on screen works the same way: ש, ל, ו, ם in that order.
How it works
- Click the letters, or type on your own keyboard: each key types the Hebrew letter shown on it, as on an Israeli keyboard.
- The final forms have their own keys: ך ם ן ף ץ.
- Press Copy and paste the Hebrew text into your message or document.
Frequently asked questions
- Where are the final letters?
- On their own keys, as on the standard Israeli layout: ך on L, ם on O, ן on I, ף on ;, ץ on the full stop key.
- Can I add niqqud (vowel points)?
- Not on this keyboard: it types the letters, as Hebrew is usually written.
- Does the text go right to left?
- Yes — the box writes right to left, and copied text keeps its direction.
- How do I use the text?
- Press Copy and paste it into your message, document or search box. Nothing is saved: copy before you close the page.
- How do I type Hebrew on an English keyboard?
- Type on your own keyboard in the box: each key types the Hebrew letter shown on it on screen, as on an Israeli keyboard, so A is ש, K is ל and U is ו. The small Latin letter on each on-screen key is the key to press. If your computer is already set to Hebrew, its own keys are left as they are.
- Where are the comma and the full stop?
- Where an Israeli keyboard has them: the comma on the apostrophe key and the full stop on the slash key, because the comma and full stop keys type ת and ץ. With Shift, the slash key gives the question mark and the apostrophe key the quotation mark.
- Is what I type sent anywhere?
- No. The keyboard works in your browser; the text stays on the page until you copy it.
