Korean keyboard online

Type Hangul on any computer — syllables are built for you.

Characters: 0

Your own keyboard types here too, by key position: each key types the character shown on it below (the small Latin letter is your key), Shift for the second one. If your computer is already set to this script, its keys are left as they are.

Nothing leaves your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.

How it works

  1. Click the jamo, or type on your own keyboard: each key types the jamo shown on it (the standard 2-set layout).
  2. Type the jamo in order — ㅇ ㅏ ㄴ gives 안; the syllable being built is underlined, and a consonant moves on when a vowel follows.
  3. Press Copy and paste the Korean text into your message or search.

Frequently asked questions

How are syllables made?
From an initial consonant, a vowel and an optional final: ㄷ ㅏ ㄹ ㄱ → 닭. Compound vowels (ㅘ, ㅝ) and double finals (ㄳ, ㄺ) are joined automatically.
Where are ㄲ ㄸ ㅃ ㅆ ㅉ?
With Shift on the ㄱ ㄷ ㅂ ㅅ ㅈ keys; Shift also gives ㅒ and ㅖ.
Can I delete one jamo at a time?
Yes — while a syllable is being built, Backspace removes its last jamo (닭 → 달 → 다).
How do I use the text?
Press Copy and paste it into your message, document or search box. Nothing is saved: copy before you close the page.
Is what I type sent anywhere?
No. The keyboard works in your browser; the text stays on the page until you copy it.
