Frequently asked questions
- Do the calculators show the steps?
- Several do: long division is set out as at school, the equation and quadratic solvers show how the answer is reached, and the fraction calculator shows the common denominator and simplifies the result.
- How precise are the answers?
- Fractions and square roots are kept exact where they can be, with the decimal beside them; other answers are worked out in double precision, like an ordinary calculator.
- Can I use them on a phone?
- Yes. They work in any current browser, with nothing to install and no account.
- Is anything sent to a server?
- No. The calculations run in your browser, so homework and data stay on your device.
