Example
Example: a table-tennis game at 10–10, and whose serve it is
Sport: Table tennis, the names left as Home and Guest, Home serving first. You tap the half of whoever won the rally; the board keeps the score, switches the serve and ends the game itself.
- A wrong tap is put right with −1 or Undo, and the serve follows the corrected score.
- At 13–11 the board shows Set won; Next set starts game 2, with Guest serving first.
- The match is best of five: the first to win three games wins, and the board names the winner.
| Score | Serve | What the board does |
|---|---|---|
| 0–0, 1–0 | Home | Home serves the first two points |
| 1–1, 2–1 | Guest | the serve changes every two points |
| 10–10 | Home | from here the serve changes every point |
| 11–10 | Guest | 11 is not enough: a game is won by 2 |
| 11–11 | Home | level again |
| 12–11 | Guest | game point for Home |
| 13–11 | game to Home: games 1–0 |
Nobody has to remember whose serve it is at 10–10. The same board knows volleyball (sets to 25, the fifth to 15, won by 2) and badminton (games to 21, won by 2 but capped at 30).
How it works
- Choose the sport and type the team names; pick each team’s colour.
- Tap or click a team’s half to add a point (−1 to correct, Undo for anything). Sets, serve and periods follow the sport’s rules.
- Press Full screen to show the board on a TV, projector or tablet; start the clock with the space bar.
Frequently asked questions
- Which sports does it know?
- Basketball (1, 2 and 3 points, four periods and overtime, team fouls, a countdown clock with buzzer), volleyball (sets to 25, the fifth to 15, win by 2), table tennis (games to 11, serve every two points), badminton (games to 21, capped at 30) and football (halves with the clock counting up). “Any game” just counts points.
- Can I score with the keyboard?
- Yes: A adds a point to the left team and Q takes one off; L and P do the same on the right (S/D and K/J add 2 and 3 in basketball). Space starts and stops the clock, U undoes, F goes full screen.
- What if I close the page by mistake?
- The score, sets, fouls and the clock are kept in your browser until you press Reset — reopen the page and carry on. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Can two people control it at once?
- Not over the internet — it runs on one device. Use a laptop or tablet next to the court, and put its screen on a TV with a cable or screen mirroring.
- What happens at 24–24 in volleyball?
- The set goes on until one team is 2 points ahead: 25–24 is not enough, 26–24 wins it. The fifth set works the same way from 14–14, since it is played to 15. Every rally scores, and the team that wins it serves.
- How does 29–29 work in badminton?
- Games are to 21 and won by 2, but capped: at 29–29 the next point wins, 30–29. The board ends the game there, and the winner of a game serves first in the next.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The scoreboard runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
