How it works
- Type the team names and set the period length (10 minutes for FIBA, 12 for the NBA, shorter for school games).
- Tap +1, +2 or +3 for each basket; count team fouls and timeouts under each team.
- Start the clock with the space bar; at zero the buzzer sounds. Press Next period, and overtime follows a tie.
Frequently asked questions
- How long is a basketball period?
- FIBA and most leagues play four 10-minute quarters; the NBA plays 12. Youth and school games are often 8 or 6 minutes. Overtime is 5 minutes.
- When is a team in the bonus?
- Under FIBA rules, from the fifth team foul in a quarter every foul gives free throws — the foul count turns highlighted at five. Team fouls start again each period.
- Can I score with the keyboard?
- Yes: A adds a point to the left team and Q takes one off; L and P do the same on the right (S/D and K/J add 2 and 3 in basketball). Space starts and stops the clock, U undoes, F goes full screen.
- What if I close the page by mistake?
- The score, sets, fouls and the clock are kept in your browser until you press Reset — reopen the page and carry on. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. It runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
