How it works
- Choose the computer and its level, or a friend on the same screen.
- Take turns dropping a disc into a column — it falls to the lowest free space.
- Line up four of your discs across, down or diagonally to win.
Frequently asked questions
- What are the rules?
- Two players take turns dropping discs into a 7-column, 6-row grid. A disc falls to the lowest empty space in its column. The first to get four in a line — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — wins; a full grid is a draw.
- Can the first player always win?
- With perfect play, yes — the first player wins by starting in the middle column. That’s why who starts changes every game here.
- Any tips?
- Play in the centre, watch the diagonals, and build two threats at once. Don’t fill the space just below your opponent’s winning spot.
- How strong is the computer?
- Easy plays almost at random but takes a win; medium blocks your threats and looks a few moves ahead; hard searches deep and is tough to beat.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. The game runs in your browser.
