Alarm time
Keep this tab open, the device awake and its sound on. The alarm cannot ring if the tab or the browser is closed, the computer sleeps, or the phone locks its screen.
Nothing leaves your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
Example
Example: a 30-minute nap after lunch with +30, and what the page shows
It is 2:47 PM on a work-from-home day, with a call at 3:30. The laptop stays open on the desk, plugged in, sound on. Settings: Quick set +30 min, Label “Back for the 3:30 call”, Sound Gentle (gets louder), Volume left at 70.
- +30 min sets the alarm time to 3:18 PM: now plus 30 minutes, rounded up to the next whole minute so it is never less than 30 minutes away. It only sets the time; Set alarm starts it.
- Press Test sound to check the volume, then Set alarm. The page says “Alarm set for 3:18 PM today”, Time left counts down from about 30½ minutes, and the screen is kept awake where the browser allows.
- At 3:18 PM the Gentle sound starts quietly and reaches full volume after 30 seconds, and the tab title flashes “Alarm 3:18 PM”. Press Stop, or Snooze 5 min to ring again 5 minutes after you press it.
| Quick set, pressed at 2:47:20 PM | Alarm time | Time left when set |
|---|---|---|
| +5 min | 2:53 PM | 5:40 |
| +10 min | 2:58 PM | 10:40 |
| +15 min | 3:03 PM | 15:40 |
| +30 min | 3:18 PM | 30:40 |
| +60 min | 3:48 PM | 1:00:40 |
The alarm rings at 3:18 PM with the label on screen, which leaves 12 minutes before the call. If nobody stops it, it stops by itself after 10 minutes and says so. 3:18 PM is kept under Recent, ready to pick again for tomorrow’s nap.
How it works
- Choose the time — or +5, +10, +30 minutes — and, if you like, a label and a sound; press Test sound to hear it.
- Press Set alarm and leave the tab open with the sound on; the page keeps the screen awake where the browser allows.
- When it rings, press Stop, or Snooze for 5 or 10 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
- Will it ring if I close the tab?
- No — a web page can only ring while it is open. Keep the tab open, the computer awake and the sound on; on a phone, keep the screen on. If the device slept past the time, the alarm rings as soon as the page runs again and says it was late.
- Can I set it for tomorrow morning?
- Yes: any time in the next 24 hours. A time that has already passed today is set for tomorrow, and the page shows how long is left.
- Which sounds are there?
- Beeps, a digital watch, a bell, a two-tone alarm and a gentle one that gets louder over 30 seconds. They are made in the browser, repeat until stopped and stop by themselves after 10 minutes.
- Why does my alarm need a click after reloading?
- Browsers only let a page play sound after you interact with it, so an alarm isn’t restored after a reload — your time, sound and label are, ready to set again.
- Does it handle the clocks changing?
- Yes. The alarm is set by the clock on the wall, not as a fixed number of hours. Set for 7:00 AM at 10:00 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2026, the night US clocks go back an hour, it shows 10:00:00 left, not 9 hours, and rings at 7:00 by the new time.
- Can I set more than one alarm?
- One at a time on the page. The last five times you set are kept under Recent, so switching between, say, 6:15 and 7:30 takes one click.
- Is anything saved?
- Only your settings, in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
