    Example

Example: gamer nicknames from the name Christopher

Style: Gamer, Decoration: Plain, Language: English, and Christopher in the name box. The name is shortened the way friends shorten it, to Chris, and mixed with gamer words, endings and leetspeak. One press of New nicknames gave these twelve:

    1. The list is random: press New nicknames for another twelve, and star the ones you like to keep them in Favourites in this browser.
    2. With Decoration set to Fancy letters, each nickname is written in one of four letter styles: ChrisWizard as 𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓦𝓲𝔃𝓪𝓻𝓭 or ChrisWizard, still 11 on the counter.
    3. Symbols around it adds frames such as ⚔ … ⚔ or 【 … 】: ⚔EpicChristopher⚔ came up in the next run, 17 characters.
    Nickname Characters

    ChrisWizard 11
    ChrisShot 9
    Christopher_Real 16
    FrozenChris 11
    ChrisLegend 11

Twelve to choose from, each with its length beside it. For a game that allows 16 characters, ChrisWizard (11) fits and Christopher_TheBrave (20) does not.

    How it works

    1. Pick a style — cool, cute, gamer, aesthetic or funny — and type your name if you want nicknames made from it.
    2. Choose a decoration: symbols around the name (꧁ ꧂, ★彡), fancy letters (𝓐𝓵𝓮𝔁) or both. Press New nicknames for another twelve.
    3. Copy the one you like, or star it to keep it in Favourites; the character count helps with games that limit name length.

    Frequently asked questions

Will a game accept a nickname with symbols?
Many games and apps do, but some allow only letters and numbers, and some count a symbol as two characters. Try the plain version if a name is refused.
How are nicknames made from my name?
Your name is combined with words of the chosen style, shortened (Sebastian → Seb, Bastian) or given a title or ending — in the language of the page, so German, Spanish or Japanese nicknames sound natural.
Can I get nicknames in another language?
Yes — set Language to any of nine languages, whatever the page is in.
    Is my name saved?
No. It is only used on the page to build the nicknames; favourites you star are kept in this browser.
Can I type my full name?
Type it, but only the first word is used: “Christopher Jones” gives nicknames from Christopher. Symbols and hyphens are dropped and the name is cut at 16 letters, so a first name or the short form you go by works best.
Why does a game say my fancy nickname is too long?
Many games count the units a character is stored in, not the letters you see. 𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓦𝓲𝔃𝓪𝓻𝓭 is 11 letters on the counter, but each script letter takes two units, so a game counting units sees 22. Small capitals (ᴄʜʀɪꜱᴡɪᴢᴀʀᴅ) and wide letters take one unit each.
    Is anything sent anywhere?
No. Nicknames are made in your browser.
