Nothing leaves your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
Example
Example: three coins at once, and how often each result comes up
Number of coins: 3, then Flip or the space bar. Each coin is drawn on its own from your browser’s cryptographic random numbers, heads (the star) or tails (the sunburst), and the result reads like “Heads 2 · Tails 1”.
- For a single decision, leave it on 1 coin: heads or tails, exactly 50/50.
- Your last 20 flips stay in the History below the coins; Clear empties it.
| Heads out of 3 | Chance |
|---|---|
| 0 (all tails) | 1 in 8 (12.5 %) |
| 1 | 3 in 8 (37.5 %) |
| 2 | 3 in 8 (37.5 %) |
| 3 (all heads) | 1 in 8 (12.5 %) |
Two of one side and one of the other comes up three times in four; all three the same, one time in four. With one coin, each flip is a fresh 50/50, whatever came before.
How it works
- Choose how many coins to flip — one for a decision, more to count heads.
- Press Flip, or the space bar: the coin spins and lands on heads or tails.
- Your last 20 flips stay in the history below.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it really 50/50?
- Yes. Each coin is decided by your browser’s cryptographic random number generator with exactly even odds; the spin only shows the result.
- Can I flip several coins?
- Yes, up to 10 at once, with the number of heads and tails counted.
- Why did I get tails five times in a row?
- Runs happen: five of the same in a row comes up about once in every 16 series of five flips. Each flip is independent of the ones before it.
- Whose coin is it?
- A generic coin with a star for heads and a sunburst for tails — no real currency.
- What are the chances of heads twice in a row?
- One in 4: a half times a half. Three in a row is 1 in 8, five in a row 1 in 32. Each flip is drawn on its own, so after four heads the next is still 50/50.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The coin is flipped in your browser.
