Nothing leaves your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
How it works
- Press Start and watch the squares of the 3 × 3 grid light up one by one.
- Repeat the sequence by tapping the squares (or keys 1–9 on the keyboard).
- Each correct round adds one square; one mistake ends the test with your score.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a good score?
- Most people repeat sequences of about 7 to 9 squares; 12 or more is very good. Your personal best is kept in this browser so you can see your progress.
- Any tips?
- Trace the path as a shape rather than single squares, or name the positions (top left, middle…) in your head. Keep your eyes on the whole grid.
- Can I use the keyboard?
- Yes — keys 1 to 9 match the squares from the top left, row by row. Space starts and Escape stops.
- Are there other memory tests?
- Yes: the same page also has a number memory test and an order test — switch the test at the top.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. It runs in your browser.
