Find your ring size

Measure a ring on your screen — or your finger — and get every size.

Not calibrated yet: the circle assumes 96 pixels per inch, so it may be off. Calibrate once with any bank card — if you calibrated the online ruler on this screen, that counts too.

Lay a ring that fits you flat on the circle. Make the circle bigger or smaller — drag it, or use the slider or − and + — until its edge lines up with the inside edge of the ring.

  • Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are warm: fingers are smaller in the morning and in the cold.
  • A wide band (6 mm or more) fits tighter: take half a size up.
  • Between two sizes? Take the larger one.

Nothing leaves your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type, play or record here stays on your device: nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.

How it works

  1. Calibrate the screen once by holding a bank card against it — it takes a few seconds and is remembered.
  2. Lay a ring that fits you on the circle and resize it until the edge meets the inside of the ring; or measure your finger with a strip of paper and type the length.
  3. Read your size in every country’s system, with the inside diameter and circumference.

Frequently asked questions

How do ring sizes compare between countries?
A US 7 has an inside diameter of about 17.3 mm and a circumference of 54.4 mm: that is UK N½, German 17¼ and Japanese 14, and it falls between European 54 and 55 (Italian and Spanish 14 and 15). A US 6 (16.5 mm across) is UK L½, European 52 and Italian 12, and falls between Japanese 11 and 12.
How accurate is measuring on a screen?
After calibrating with a bank card it is accurate to a few tenths of a millimetre — about a quarter of a US size. Without calibration the circle assumes a standard screen and may be off.
How do I measure without a ring?
Wrap a strip of paper round the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure it: that is the circumference. At the end of the day and in the warm your fingers are at their fullest; go half a size up for wide bands.
Can I print a ring sizer?
Yes — the printable ring sizer has a strip to wrap round your finger and circles to lay a ring on, at real size.
Is anything uploaded?
No. It is measured in your browser; the calibration is kept on this device.
