How it works

  1. Choose the length — 5 minutes is the classic session.
  2. Press Start and breathe in for 5 seconds as the circle grows, then out for 5 as it shrinks, with no pause in between.
  3. Many people do it three times a day — morning, midday and evening.

Frequently asked questions

What is coherent breathing?
Breathing at about six breaths a minute — in for 5 seconds, out for 5 — a slow, even rhythm that many people use to feel calmer. It is also known as resonance breathing or cardiac coherence.
Why 5 minutes, 3 times a day?
It is the usual routine: long enough to settle, short enough to fit in the day. Even one minute can help you slow down.
Can I change the rhythm?
Yes — on the breathing exercise page choose Custom, for example 4 in and 6 out.
What if I feel dizzy?
Stop and breathe normally. Long holds are not for everyone — choose coherence 5-5, which has no hold, or a custom pattern with shorter counts. If you have a heart or lung condition, ask your doctor first.
Is anything recorded?
No. The guide runs in your browser; it doesn’t use the microphone or send anything anywhere.
