How it works
- Set the number of rows and the seats in each row.
- Paste the names, one per line.
- Press Shuffle seats, then copy the chart into a spreadsheet: each seat lands in its own cell.
Frequently asked questions
- What if there are more names than seats?
- Rows are added at the back until everyone has a seat. Empty seats are marked with a dash.
- What is the teacher’s view?
- The chart turned round, with the front at the bottom, as the class looks from the teacher’s desk.
- Are the names saved or sent anywhere?
- No. The seats are drawn in your browser.
